Shots from the Day on the Lake

Sometimes in my job I get to do some REALLY cool stuff...like today! The company that I work for donates the use of a bunch of brand new watercraft for two days for the " Day on the Lake " event...

Our whole family volunteers at this (my 5th year)and I do transfers from wheelchairs onto the watercraft...give rides...and help where ever its needed. Lynn also did the same. Holly was there to get supplies...and we put grandma on a boat all day!

Anyways, the kids and adults alike from Barrows Neurologial Institute look forward all year to this event...a time when paraplegics, quadraplegics, people that had severe brain/head trauma in the past and many other reasons...can "Come out and play" like the rest of us.

They have boats/watercraft that follow/chase...riders giving rides...mono skiing...fishing...houseboats...speedboats and on and on!
