Not that it matters, but that driver upper seat reupholstery has to be the worst job I've ever seen. They didn't even try to get the packaging folds out.

75 was the last year for the small leaf springs, and open frame (they boxed them after that). 75 was the last year for a dana 44, and an outside wiper motor.

Funny you say this, as I had a valve seat fall out of an older Harley a while back,. and the machine shop used a copper/style seat to replace it, stating the very same reason.
