Chris,
I believe the stenciled dates were only on the top sub frame in the stack. This is because they are not on every car. As Schonye listed the cast parts should be cast. I have seen evidence on low mile cars that the Sub frame, arms, shafts, and bushings and everything except the springs were coated the black that seemed to wash off quickly. My 307 swaybar and center link was dipped black. Others I have seen were bare steel. Greg
