I suspect that someone on this site has had experience trying to install a later (non slant finned) AM/FM radio in a 1969 Camaro. The radio that I have is model 11AFP1. I know that the fins were slanted on the 1969 radios to provide clearance. So....does that mean that the square finned radios will fit with less clearance, or that they will interfere and thus can not be installed in a '69? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You might want to check the electrical plug-in. As I recall, there was a change between 69 and 70, at least on the AM radios.

Check out the Assembly manual, there are a lot more stuff to install than just the radio. Most of the extra stuff is there to cancel out radio interference (electrical noise).

The plug is very different. You will need a 1970 and up plug for the radio.
