Thanks for posting those. Reminds me of the Revs Institute in Naples, FL. Well worth visiting if you're ever in the area as it has similar write ups about the significance of each car on display.
Mark, it is on my bucket list to visit the Revs Institute. I hear the cars there are spectacular and they have several of Briggs Cunningham’s race cars. What is the story on the 1966 Corvette? It looks like the #4 1965 green/green Corvette that was originally a white fuelie and converted to a 396 with sidepipes. That car was at the Texas Regional last October if the same one. Tim, I must not of taken a photo of the signage on this 1966 Corvette. I don’t think this is the same car. This one is a 425hp 427 and if my memory serves me Dr. Simeone years ago said it had just over 10,000 original miles. Thanks for posting, wow place to visit and save me a seat on the bus when you're going Des! Do they advise ahead which cars they're pulling out when, love to visit on GS-002 exercise day. Pete, Yes they do. The 2021 schedule is in one of the links below: https://simeonemuseum.org/ https://m.facebook.com/SimeoneAutomotiveMuseum/ |

Great gem in Philly that almost noone knows about. They have events where they drive the cars around outside also. The rarest of the rare are there and show up there sometimes !!

----Rob,,,,Thanks for the wonderful pics! The Corvette is definetly a Laguna Blue 66 big-block! Of course, my favorite 66 Corvette color as my wifes 390hp convert is that rare color. It's in the owners rides area somewhere.
----The silver Grand Sport Corvette is the most authentic reproduction on the planet earth. It is correct as is humanly possible down to the fasteners. I may be wrong but I think the owner of Cincinnati Microwave (producer of Escort radar detectors) commissioned the build.....Bill S |
