I use the McLeod disc/PP exclusively after wiping many of the CF and Hays units. The dual friction McLeod disc is great for the street, easy engagement and mild pedal pressure with the diaphragm PP. I have one of their sintered iron discs on a car, and even that isn't too miserable on the street. Great tech support, too. No, I don't work for them.
