This car has been a CA car its entire life. Why is there no smog on this car? (or is there smog and I am missing something?) Was the difference between a smog motor and non smog motor the carb? My 72 SS Nova which is an L-48/4-spd has a 350/4BBL q-jet and has its original smog system. If a car had a 4BBL carb it got smog, if it had a 2BBL it did not receive a smog system? Thanks.

I know in 1969 the 350/300 with automatic did not get the smog setup. Only the four speed cars got the smog pump. Maybe it's the same deal with the '72s
