i don't get it,
why would someone pay that kind of money for there L88 1967 to 1969 Corvette spark plug wires to have wires dated from 1971?
to me it defeats the purpose doesn't it?
did those wires come on the 1971 corvette with a LS6?

Might have, but Delco made thousands of boxes of those as replacement wires. I saw some of the same style Delco wires dated 1984 just a short while back. Not many L-88's or LS6's made in 1984.
