I've had a picture of the Cowl Tag for over 2 years and it is saved with a reference to 975. It's also in the CRG database as 975 (since 1999). Could be two separate typos ( I collect tag and other images separately from the data collection)but I don't think so.

Good.. Then I guess that clears up the confusion. The auction car must be #992 then?? The story that I have always been told on #975 is that the car's VIN# was added to Donna's Registry based upon an observer's accounting at a car show from the 1980's. No trim tag information was provided. Car has never turned up again since.
If you have the Tag information that would verify it to be #975 and a pace car - now that would clear things up nicely. Thanks Phil |

I read the question on Ebay and he never confirmed that it was 992, just leads everyone to beleive that is the number. The data which ties the 709 trim tag to the 975 VIN is from 1999, and it came from a guy by the name of Gray who was trying to buy the car. At the time the car was owned by a Mr Curtis somewhere near Nashville TN, who had had the car since 1975 and had had it in a barn since about 1979 or 80 so maybe thats why it disappeared.
I don't have anyway to verify the 709/975 combination unless someone goes to look at the car and can do it. 975 is a pace car. |

Mark,
Thanks. I have to disagree as the seller specifically states in an answer that the Vin# was guessed. Re-read the Answer provided by the seller. ![]() I would be intrested in ANY proof on the existance of 975 as an 0-1 festival car. As we all know - Ermine white/with Bright Blue interior and white top was a combination that could be ordered all year in 1967. Phil |

Look at the image of the VIN I posted then look at yours on the 991 car. You should see something the two tags have in common that most 67's do not have.
![]() Hopefully someone here will buy it and confirm the VIN one way or the other. |
